HD SUPERFINE ACETATE

High-density acetate worked at reduced thicknesses, down to 3 mm, to decrease weight without losing stability.

HINGES H&S RIVETED

Solid and carefully crafted hinges, riveted and fitted with Teflon-coated screws to guarantee stability, smoothness and durability over time.

RIVETS 3+2 HALLY & SON

Internal working studied to improve comfort and reduce weight, while maintaining the visual strength of the front.

END TIP H&S ROUND PERFORATED

The classic Hally & Son end tip: round, perforated, bevelled and anatomical to make the fit easier.

TITANIUM CORE

Personalised titanium wire cores and reduced thicknesses to obtain frames up to 30% lighter than comparable traditional constructions.

Classic look. Up to 30% lighter.

Titanium Core

Titanium Core is the Hally & Son technology developed to reduce the weight of the frame without giving up the aesthetics of acetate.

Personalised titanium wire cores, thicknesses reduced to around 3 mm and high-density acetates make it possible to obtain frames up to 30% lighter than comparable traditional constructions, while maintaining comfort, stability and character.

Less weight. Same character.

The Collection

Hally & Son Titanium Core Glasses

Titanium Core is the Hally & Son technology developed to reduce the weight of acetate frames without giving up style, presence and construction quality.

The principle is simple: lighten the frame by working on the structure, not on the identity.

The heart of the system is the Titanium Wire Core, an internal temple wire core made of titanium and customised for Hally & Son.

Compared to a traditional wire core, titanium makes it possible to reduce weight while maintaining excellent characteristics of strength, elasticity and stability.

The work then continues on the thicknesses.

Temples and fronts are reduced to around 3 mm, an extremely low value for an acetate frame.

To make this construction possible, particularly dense acetates are used, selected to maintain the shape and precision of the frame despite the reduction in material.

Lightness, however, is not pursued indiscriminately.

In the points most subjected to stress — in particular the nasal bridge and the end pieces — the thicknesses are increased to preserve stability, strength and durability over time.

The hinges also follow the same construction philosophy.

Titanium Core frames use riveted hinges, choosing between the classic OBE customised for Hally & Son and the new OBE Versailles, depending on the model.

The combination of titanium wire core, reduced thicknesses and high-density acetates makes it possible to obtain a frame that can be up to 30% lighter than the same model built with comparable traditional technologies and thicknesses.

The result is a frame that preserves the classic, textural look of acetate, but offers a feeling of lightness closer to that of technical glasses in titanium or milled metal.

This balance is particularly important in optical glasses, which are worn for many hours during the day.

Reducing weight means improving comfort, decreasing pressure on the nose and ears and making the frame more pleasant to wear for long periods.

Titanium Core does not change the Hally & Son style.
It makes it lighter.

Frequently asked questions about Titanium Core

Titanium Core is a Hally & Son technology that combines titanium wire cores, reduced thicknesses and high-density acetates to obtain lighter frames without giving up the style of acetate.

A Titanium Core frame can be up to 30% lighter than the same model built with comparable traditional technologies and thicknesses.

It is the internal temple wire core made of titanium.
At Hally & Son the wire cores are always customised and developed according to the design of the frame.

In some areas the thicknesses can be reduced to around 3 mm.

We use particularly dense acetates and increase the thickness in the areas most subjected to stress, such as the end pieces and the nasal bridge.

Yes. Titanium Core frames use riveted hinges, including the classic OBE customised for Hally & Son and the new OBE Versailles.

Because optical glasses are often worn for many consecutive hours.
A lighter frame reduces pressure on the nose and ears and improves comfort throughout the day.

No.
The aim is exactly the opposite: to maintain the classic Hally & Son aesthetics and reduce weight through the internal construction and the study of thicknesses.

The aesthetics remain those of an acetate frame, but the feeling of lightness comes close to that of technical glasses made with much lighter materials.
